Mattoon in Motion has been working towards fulfilling its mission in the development of Mattoon, Illinois, and the surrounding area. Groups have been meeting monthly to discuss potential projects and how to move forward with projects already in progress.
This website is a place where citizens can keep up to date about what is happening in the community and the overall group. It is a one-stop shop for all information that committee members and citizens can utilize.

Committee updates
The Housing Committee is working on a number of projects for after the winter months. Under committees, there is a Housing Matrix which can be utilized to see if one qualifies for different housing programs offered in the community. If someone you know can benefit from this information, please pass it along.
Workforce Development Committee is working on a number of different programs, as well. Under Workforce Programs, you will see a list of available workforce programs already offered in the community. Again, if you know of a student or adult who could use assistance finding out about different programs regarding improvement or learning a new skill in the area, send them here.
The Robust Economy committee is continuing to develop plans for the business incubator. More will be said about this in the coming months.
Mattoon in Motion is doing a number of things and is still on track with multiple projects which are in the pipeline. If you or anyone you know would like to volunteer for a committee please check out the calendar to view when and where the next meetings will be held.
As we look to the New Year, let us be reminded of what it is we would like to see happen in our great town.
